Spetses island is one of the most popular Greek Islands, particularly when it comes to weekend excursions and Summer Vacations.
Located at the south end of the ArgoSaronic Gulf, Spetses have the privilege of being approachable both by sea and land!

 

The name Spetses, derives from the italian word “Spezzie” which was used by the Venetians Dominators many centuries ago, in order to describe the island as “The island of fragrances”.
At the ancient times, Spetses was known as “Pityoussa” due to the many pine trees that cover the hills and even today in many places, reach the sea!
